What makes a wedding special? Is it the perfect weather, every finer detail, the venue or the food? Really, it is you. You and your love.
Covid has been really hard on love this year. Couples delayed weddings. Then they delayed them again. Some eloped, some decided to start families instead. We started to look at the unconventional way that we had to celebrate love, and the moments that are important to us and we realized, that while your plans are amazing and beautiful, they are also just a part of the big picture.
As I watched this wedding come together, a couple decide that they wanted to face the restrictions head on and have their wedding, celebrate their love, I was amazed at all of the beauty, all of the care that went into each detail.
Turning an outdoor space into an intimate and absolutely stunning wedding. Produced by Primates outdid themselves. I adored all of the local vendors, small business intimate feel, filled with big love.
It is not easy to be calm on your wedding day. There are so many moving parts, coupled with a timeline and guests, it can be very hectic. Madison was at ease. Surrounded by her important women, she chatted with her hair and makeup artist, laughed with her friends and family, enjoyed mimosas and the gorgeous fall weather.
Smiles filled the room as she came out in her beautiful dress.
We moved about The Brick House Farm, using the farmhouse charm to bring out the charm in every detail of the bride.
The guys are often fun and Matthew was definitely that. Full of jokes, smiles and kind words, it was a joy to watch him interact with his groomsmen and of course, the bride.
The first look. It is something I have become very fond of. Everyone loves watching their soon to be husband’s face as they come down the aisle, it is an incredibly special moment. But, I have to say, the first look might have it beat. Stay with me.
Walking down the aisle is a very public moment. Everyone is watching, everyone is waiting. For some, it is hard to let that guard down and have all of the emotion flow.
The first look allows for that freedom.
A quiet moment among a day filled with people. The showering of affection towards you two, now as one. Many times, couples will say it was the only time they had together, which just makes it that much more special. It is the moment. THE one, before you become husband and wife. Your time together to let that all settle in, before you walk towards them in front of your family and friends, making that incredible vow and promise.
As the sun set on the day, we were met with heartfelt words and sincere connection. It is really special to watch moms tear and dads smile. The wedding party, feeling the emotions and standing is strong support of the two people making this commitment.
And. The. Venue. The Brick House Farm is probably my favorite place in the world! It was truly amazing to see a grand scene in such an intimate way. The big trees, chandeliers lent to a cozy space that really brought such magic to the day. The farmhouse charm is elegant and yet warm and inviting.
This may have been my favorite part of the wedding! The smooth music from Blaire Reinhard Band, the incredible spread from Café Pierrot, the sunsetting behind the drinks laid out by Krogh’s. It was a dream to capture.
The vibe. It was here. Each little detail, every moment, the movement. It’s the feeling I get from the couple, their love, their people surrounding them. The mood of a fall day and the setting sun. smells of the food and sweet tastes of the drinks. Here is where you can really look back and feel it. Like you’re there again, transplanted in time.
Let’s forever feel this vibe
With covid restrictions, I think many people believe the fun is lacking. But there are so many ways to have fun. Lawn games, gelato carts, live entertainment, I could go on. There are so many ways to have a great time while still abiding by restrictions.
This was adorable. I love photobooths and I have seen them done so many different ways in the wedding world. Wanderbus was SPECIAL. Fun, memories and décor all in one. I was sold and I completely understand why this couple chose them.
Oh my detail loving heart. That is truly all I can say. There was love in every single little thing, the closer I looked, the more I found. I snuck into the tent, when it was quiet and the sun was setting. What a sight. The warmth of the colors and the smell of fall. I loved every bit of it.
Sometimes things are just special. I couldn’t leave here without giving you the beauty that is this special spot, at night. The Brick House Farm is just dazzling.
Best wishes. Warmest regards.
